Driver, 19, dies in rollover crash in Marion County, FHP says

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A 19-year-old Ocala man driving an SUV in Marion County died early Saturday after losing control of the vehicle and crashing, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 5:09 a.m. along County Road 225A near the roadway’s intersection with U.S. 27, troopers said.

According to an FHP crash report, the man was traveling northbound on CR 225A when he lost control of the SUV while negotiating a curve. The SUV left the roadway and rolled, the report states.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to FHP. Troopers believe he was not wearing a seat belt in the crash.
