According to an FHP crash report, a 23-year-old Orlando man was riding a motorcycle eastbound when he failed to maintain control of the bike while negotiating a curve. The motorcycle ran off the roadway to the right and struck the outside shoulder guardrail, the report states.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said, adding he was wearing a helmet during the crash. Witnesses reported the motorcycle was traveling above the posted speed limit and rapidly changing lanes, according to the report.

Traffic was being diverted at mile marker 21 (Alafaya Trail), FHP said on social media.

A roadblock was still in place for all eastbound lanes at the time of this report, according to FHP.

FHP is still investigating.
