1 injured in 3-vehicle crash on Alafaya Trail in Oviedo, police say

Victim trauma-alerted to HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital

OVIEDO, Fla. – One person was injured Monday in a three-vehicle crash that shut down a portion of Alafaya Trail in Oviedo, according to police.

Police said the victim was taken as a trauma-alert patient to HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital.

According to a social media post by Oviedo police, three lanes of northbound Alafaya Trail were shut down at Chapman Road, but the roadway was later reopened.

Police asked motorists to avoid the area while they investigate.

No other details have been released.
