I-4 reopens in Orlando after crash involving overturned truck shuts down lanes

ORLANDO, Fla. – All lanes of westbound Interstate 4 were temporarily shut down in Orlando Friday morning due to a crash involving an overturned truck, according to police.

An interagency effort to remove the roadblock took place in the area of mile marker 82, just beyond the exit to State Road 408, according to FDOT.

Traffic was diverted to SR 408, the Orlando Police Department said around 9:20 a.m. on social media. The post was later updated around 10:42 a.m. to state the roadway was back open.

According to the Orlando Fire Department, first responders attended to four patients, three of whom suffered non-life-threatening injuries while one was hospitalized.

There’s no word yet on any details regarding the circumstances of the crash. The view from Sky 6 showed at least three other wrecked vehicles along with the truck.
