Osceola County deputy hospitalized after crash, troopers say

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – A crash Tuesday night south of Kissimmee involved a marked Osceola County Sheriff’s Office patrol car and sent the deputy driving it to the hospital, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The two-vehicle crash occurred around 9:40 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Road and Village Shoppes Drive, troopers said.

According to a preliminary FHP crash report, the deputy was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The other vehicle involved in the crash was a 2004 Chrysler Town & Country being driven by a 71-year-old Kissimmee man who was not hospitalized and remained at the scene, the report states.

FHP is still investigating.
