POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A 42-year-old woman was killed Sunday night when her vehicle collided with a pickup truck on I-4 and overturned, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
The fatal wreck happened around 10 p.m. near mile marker 34.

According to the FHP, the Bradenton woman was traveling west on I-4 in a Toyota 4Runner when she collided with a Ford F-550.
The impact sent the Toyota across the highway toward the center, where it overturned before hitting an exit sign, troopers said.
The woman died at the scene, and her passenger, a 27-year-old Palmetto man, was seriously injured and taken to a hospital, according to the FHP.
The driver of the Ford, a 41-year-old Altamonte Springs, was uninjured.
