ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – As we step into 2025, I’m thrilled to continue our tradition of shining a spotlight on the incredible animals at Orange County Animal Services that are looking for their forever homes. This year, we’re starting off with a very special senior dog: Jayko (A296982).
Jayko is a 10-year-old sweetheart who has been part of the OCAS family for quite some time. Surrendered to the shelter back in 2014 as a puppy, Jayko has grown into a calm, gentle and loving companion. He’s great with other dogs and has an easygoing personality that makes him perfect for any home looking to add a loyal, senior companion to their family.
This month, as part of OCAS’s initiative to promote senior pet adoptions, Jayko’s adoption fee is just $10. It’s a small price to pay for a lifetime of love and gratitude from this incredible dog.
I’ll be visiting Jayko and showcasing his story on Trooper Steve on Patrol. Meet Jayko and learn more about what makes senior dogs like him such special additions to any family.
Let’s make 2025 the year Jayko finds the loving home he truly deserves. Senior pets have so much to give and by adopting Jayko or another senior dog, you’re not just gaining a pet — you’re gaining a best friend.
