1 killed, 1 seriously injured in head-on crash in Marion County , troopers say

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A 50-year-old Ocala woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Marion County on Saturday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash happened at crash happened at C.R. 484 and San Pedro Boulevard at 7 a.m.

According to a crash report, a SUV was traveling east on C.R. 484 at the same time a sedan was traveling west on C.R. 484.

Troopers said the front of the SUV collided with the front of the sedan, but did not provide any additional details.

The driver of the sedan – identified as a 50-year-old Ocala woman – was taken to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the SUV – identified as a 21-year-old Ocala man – was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
