SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. – A 45-year-old man was killed Tuesday morning after a dump truck hit his van in Sumter County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 5:40 a.m. on State Road 471 at County Road 476.

According to troopers, a 63-year-old Florida City man was traveling east on CR-476 in a dump truck when he ran a stop sign and struck a Chevy van traveling north on SR-471.

The van driver, a Webster man, was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
The dump truck driver was not injured during the incident, according to the FHP.
No other information was released.
