ORLANDO, Fla. – Three people were injured Wednesday in a fiery two-vehicle crash that prompted the closure of Narcoossee Road in Orlando.
The wreck happened before noon on Narcoossee Road at Nonacrest Drive, west of State Road 417.
While all lanes of Narcoossee Road were initially closed, officials said that the southbound lanes are now open.
The northbound lanes of Narcoossee Road remain shut down.

The Orlando Fire Department posted on X that both cars involved in the wreck caught fire and three people were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center as trauma alert patients.
Fire officials said one victim suffered severe burns and another was airlifted to ORMC.
“Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and use alternative routes,” Orlando police posted on X.
Details about the crash have not been released.
