Trooper Steve on Patrol takes a look at Central Florida’s busiest traffic hotspot

Watch full video at the top of this story

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – With the holiday reducing the usual traffic flow, I decided to take advantage of the lull and do something a little unconventional: live streaming from the area that normally sees the heaviest congestion. I’m talking about one of the most notorious stretches of I-4, the corridor from US-27 in Lake County to the Champions Gate area in Osceola County.

This section of I-4 is infamous for gridlock, particularly during rush hour and peak travel seasons.

Whether its commuters, tourists heading to the theme parks, or long-haul truckers making their way through the state, this stretch is often a frustrating bottleneck.

During the live stream, we’ll not only observe the current traffic conditions but also dive into some of the major infrastructure projects that have been proposed and approved to help alleviate congestion. From new lanes to improved interchanges, these developments aim to make traveling through this area a little less stressful for drivers.

Check back for the full video as we explore the reality of one of Central Florida’s busiest roadways and discuss what’s being done to improve it.

If you’ve ever been stuck in this traffic, you won’t want to miss this conversation!
