ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Drivers on State Road 429 in Orange County are being diverted around a ground depression as crews assess possible repairs, according to the Central Florida Expressway Authority.

The southbound lanes are blocked Friday at the New Independence Main Toll Plaza near mile marker 17, and drivers are being diverted through the cash lanes.

According to the Central Florida Expressway Authority, a “depression was identified” and crews are out there to determine what repairs may be needed.

"Minor delays can be expected during this time and drivers are advised to allow for extra travel time while traveling though this area," officials said.

No other information has been released, including when lanes might reopen.
