BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A 56-year-old man was killed Monday morning in a Brevard County crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck pulling a trailer, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash happened around 6:25 a.m. on U.S. 1 near 1st Street in Grant-Valkaria.

The FHP said a 68-year-old Malabar man was driving a 2001 Ford Ranger with a boat trailer attached and was headed south on U.S. 1 in the left turn lane.
A 56-year-old Vero Beach man was riding a 2021 Indian motorcycle north on U.S. 1 when the pickup made a left turn into his direct path, the FHP said.
The motorcyclist struck the trailer and was taken to Orlando Health Sebastian River Hospital Emergency Room, where he was pronounced dead, according to an FHP crash report.
The pickup driver was not hurt, the FHP said.
An investigation is ongoing.
