Motorcyclist dies after bike runs off I-95 in Brevard County, troopers say

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A woman riding a motorcycle on Interstate 95 in Brevard County fell from the bike after losing control of it and later died, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 5:11 p.m. Friday along northbound I-95 at mile marker 213, north of State Road 407, troopers said.

According to an FHP crash report, the motorcyclist — identified as a 63-year-old Titusville woman — lost control of the bike and ran off the roadway left onto the median. The rider fell from the motorcycle as a result, the report states.

The rider was taken to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead, troopers said. She was wearing a helmet during the crash, according to the report.

FHP is still investigating.
