OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – An Osceola County deputy and a 59-year-old woman were injured after a crash involving a patrol car and a pickup truck on Saturday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened around 6:25 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Road and Orange Blossom Trail in Osceola County.

According to a crash report, a marked Osceola County Sheriff’s Office patrol car was traveling north on Orange Blossom Trail with lights and sirens activated, approaching the intersection of Pleasant Hill Road.

At the same time, a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling west on Pleasant Hill Road, approaching the intersection of Orange Blossom Trail with a green light.
Troopers said the deputy failed to clear the intersection when approaching and as a result, struck the pickup truck.
According to the FHP, the impact caused the truck to overturn onto its side.
Troopers said the unidentified deputy and the driver of the truck, identified as a 59-year-old woman, were taken to Osceola Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
