Ormond Beach 2,500-home development may finally start to take shape

Ormond Crossings will feature housing, retail and industrial on 3,000 acres of land near I-95 and US-1 just south of Destination Daytona. The mixed-use project, which has been in the works since 2004, has been delayed for a number of reasons, including the 2008 recession, but the city of Ormond Beach is confident shovel will finally hit dirt on the property after the land was sold to a new developer in December 2023.
