Florida bills named after fallen police officer wants to strengthen penalties for manslaughter

A state Senate bill gaining momentum in Florida aims to increase the punishment for those convicted of manslaughter against a police officer. Named the “Officer Jason Raynor Act,” the bill honors the Daytona Beach police officer who was killed in 2021.
