BRUNSWICK, Ga. – The ever-popular gas station chain Buc-ee’s has just released the latest timeline for its largest store in Georgia, according to WSB-TV.

The upcoming location is set to open along Interstate 95 near Brunswick, and pictures have already been released showing the construction.

According to the Savannah Morning News, a Buc-ee’s spokesperson announced that the location has a tentative opening date of June 2, 2025. However, the date is subject to change.

WSB-TV reports that the new 74,000-square-foot store — which will be the largest in the state — will feature 120 fuel pumps, bring over 200 full-time jobs to the area, and provide employees with full benefits, three weeks of paid vacation, and a 6% matching 401k.

While this store will be the third to open in Georgia, there are plenty of other Buc-ee’s locations across Alabama, Colorado, Kentucky, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee and Florida.

In fact, News 6 tested the latest “Texas-sized” Buc-ee’s car wash at the Daytona Beach location. Buc-ee’s also has a store in St. Augustine, though its largest Florida store is yet to come.

A new Buc-ee’s is planned to be built near Interstate 75 and Northwest 49th Street north of Ocala, with construction expected to kick off later this year. While it’s also set to open in 2025, there has yet to be an exact opening date shared by the company.

Buc-ee’s Director of Real Estate and Development Stan Beard announced earlier this summer that the Ocala location will feature a 74,000-square-foot travel center, making it the largest store outside of Texas.

Plans for another Buc-ee’s location in Florida have also been released. That store is expected to open along the Treasure Coast in St. Lucie County, which would give the Sunshine State four Buc-ee’s overall.

While not as large as the Ocala location, the St. Lucie store is planned to have the following:

  • 73,000-square-foot retail facility
  • 789 parking spots
  • 120 fueling stations
  • 19 handicap-accessible parking spots
  • 18 electric vehicle charging stations
  • 11 bus parking spots

Buc-ee’s, the brainchild of Arch Aplin III, first opened in Texas in 1982, expanding throughout the state before expanding across the South, including in Florida in recent years.

The store offers numerous gas pumps, clean bathrooms, Beaver Nuggets (caramel popcorn), Texas-style brisket sandwiches, fresh jerky, T-shirts, hats, blankets, mugs and more.
