It also offers other items such as iced coffees and soy pudding.

This restaurant is by Chef Sean ‘Sonny’ Nguyen, who is no stranger to the Michelin guide. Nguyen is a part of other Orlando eateries such as Domu, Tori Tori and Rion’s Ocean Room. Inside the East End Market, this spot is inspired by the popular Japanese dish, Gyukatsu, which means ‘beef cutlet,’ per its website. Guests purchase cuts of meats and use a hot stone grill to cook them.

· Kai Kai — 1110 E. Colonial Drive

The menu includes items such as brisket, jalapeno cheddar sausage, ribs, turkey breast and pulled pork along with sides like potato salad, cheese grits, coleslaw and mac & cheese. The guide said this place is serving up the real deal that could give Texas barbecue a run for its money.

· Walala Hand-Pulled Noodle House — 5062 W. Colonial Drive

Inside Pine Hills’ Chinatown sits this restaurant that serves hand-pulled noodles. It also has other items such as dumplings, fried rice, wings and potstickers, according to its website.

Meanwhile, the Michelin Guide, put out by the French tire manufacturer, first came to Florida in 2022.

The guide was first put out as a way for drivers to help plan their trips, according to the company, thereby increasing tire sales. In the 1920s, the guide started including information on restaurants, and the company began awarding stars in 1936, according to its website.

It has since become one of the most sought-after awards in the restaurant industry.

Next month, the Florida Michelin Guide Ceremony will be held here, awarding stars to more restaurants across the state.
