DeLAND, Fla. – One person was shot in DeLand and two were taken into custody Tuesday night as police continue to investigate two crime scenes, according to officials.
The victim, who officers believe was an innocent bystander, was shot in the 700 block of Euclid Avenue after 8:15 p.m. and was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, DeLand police said.

A short time earlier, DeLand police said officers were investigating a shooting reported in the 800 block of West Volusia Avenue. The shootings were determined to be related, police said.
A car that matched the description of a suspect vehicle was stopped by Volusia County deputies and DeLand police near East Euclid and South Alabama avenues, where two people were taken into custody, according to a news release.
Malik Hinson, 20, faces charges of discharging a firearm from a vehicle, firing into a dwelling, violating probation and possessing a weapon as a convicted felon, police said. Keyon Bacon, 21, faces charges of reckless driving and doing so without a valid license, records show.
No other details have been released.
