VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – A woman was killed Sunday in a head-on crash in Volusia County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said a vehicle driven by a 62-year-old DeLand woman was westbound on Old New York Avenue near Fair Street while a pickup truck was traveling east around 6:40 p.m.

According to a crash report, the two cars crashed head-on, though it is still under investigation which vehicle went into the opposite lane.
The woman died as a result of the crash and the other driver, a 51-year-old South Daytona man, suffered serious injuries, troopers said.
The crash remains under investigation.
