MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A debris fire burned near a Marion County high school on Monday, but firefighters have stopped the blaze from spreading to nearby buildings.
The fire broke out off Maricamp Road near Forest High School in Ocala.

Fire officials said the fire scorched more than 4 acres, burning several 20-foot piles of oak trees, pine trees and mulch.
Twenty-seven firefighters from 18 Marion County Fire Rescue units are battling the blaze.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
