ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A fiery crash involving a semitruck along Florida’s Turnpike on Tuesday evening shut down traffic along the roadway, according to FL511.
The crash happened along the southbound lanes of the highway near milepost 257, beyond Interstate 4.

According to Orange County Fire Rescue, the semitruck overturned and caught fire, but the driver was able to safely exit the vehicle.
All southbound lanes of the Turnpike were closed following the crash, and traffic was detoured southbound at at I-4. The Turnpike was later reopened.
No information has been provided about the cause of the crash.
