Russell Antonio Rouson, Jr. faces attempted murder charges

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – A teen was arrested Friday in connection to a shooting in Daytona Beach that left one person injured, police said.

Officers said they responded to reports of a shooting at 624 Roy Ave. around noon. Upon arrival, police said they found the victim had already been transported to Halifax Medical Center by an unknown person, where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

According to police, they later located the suspect, 17-year-old Russell Antonio Rouson, Jr., in Bunnell, and he was arrested by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.

He faces charges of attempted murder and possession of a firearm by a delinquent.

Deputies released body camera footage of the arrest, which shows Flagler deputies taking Rouson into custody.
