Troopers said the driver of the Envoy “failed to maintain the southbound lane while negotiating a curve” and entered the northbound lane in the direct path of the F-250. As a result, the front of the Envoy struck the front of the F-250, according to the FHP.

The driver of the Envoy – a 58-year-old woman from DeLand – and the driver of the F-250 – a 43-year-old man from Orange City – were taken to a local hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, troopers said.

There is currently roadblock for both lanes of travel of State Road 11, according to the FHP

The crash remains under investigation.
