BUNNELL, Fla. – With the latest blast of cold air arriving in Central Florida, Flagler County emergency management officials are preparing to open a cold weather shelter.
Forecasters said temperatures on Monday will see highs staying in the upper 60s and lows in the 30s and 40s.

“Flagler County has experienced a few cold fronts during January, and we continue to urge those who lack adequate housing or adequate heat for their residences to come to the cold-weather shelter,” Joseph Hegedus, health and human services director, said in a release. “The Sheltering Tree and the Rock Transformation Center will provide cots and meals. We – Flagler County – will be providing transportation to the shelter for those who need it.”
The Sheltering Tree is opening a shelter on Monday night for anyone who is without heat, even if they aren’t homeless.
The shelter is at the Rock Transformation Center located at 2200 N. State St. The shelter will open at 5 p.m. and close at 8 a.m. the following day.
