DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – A boater spotted the body of a 39-year-old man on Wednesday floating in the Halifax River, according to the Daytona Beach Police Department.
The man, who has not been publicly identified, was found around 10:50 a.m. near mile marker 40, a news release states.

Police said the man lived at a sober living house and last checked in for curfew at 11 p.m. on Tuesday before going to Halifax Hospital on Wednesday morning.
It is unknown what time the man left the hospital, according to the department.
No other details have been released.
An investigation is ongoing.
