WEST MELBOURNE, Fla. – Firefighters said they worked quickly to evacuate a West Melbourne hotel that caught fire early Thursday.
The fire began around 3 a.m. on the first floor of the Fairfield Inn at 4355 W. New Haven Ave., according to Brevard County Fire Rescue.
All visitors safely exited the hotel, and the fire was extinguished, the fire department said on social media.
Photos shared by the fire department show the charred outside of the structure, as well as the view out of a room with a scorched, shattered window.
No other details were shared or confirmed at the time of this report.
