PORT ORANGE, Fla. – Students were evacuated from Spruce Creek Elementary School on Tuesday amid potential threats, according to school officials.
In a release, school officials announced that they were made aware by Port Orange police of a potential threat being called in about the school.

As a result, police responded to the campus and began investigating, the release shows.
In addition, all students on campus were evacuated to the field “out of an abundance of caution,” school officials added.
According to the release, students were moved to the United Church of Christ across the street at 651 Taylor Road. Parents were able to pick their children up from that location.
The school later announced that investigators determined the threat was “unfounded.”
