OCOEE, Fla. – Police in Ocoee warned Saturday of a brush fire that forced the evacuation of some businesses near West Oaks Mall.

The fire was burning between mall property and the Clarke Road corridor, the police department announced around 2 p.m. on social media.

According to fire crews, wind pushed the fire near the parking lot of a nearby plaza with several businesses.

Ocoee fire officials said they believe the fire is accidental and that no injuries were reported.

People in the area were told to avoid “the area near the south side near the bus stops,” the post states. Further specifics on the number and location of the evacuated businesses were not immediately provided.

No other details have been shared or confirmed at the time of this report.
