PORT ORANGE, Fla. – Port Orange police have arrested a man accused of robbing a credit union earlier this week.
Tracy Hall, 51, of Port Orange, was arrested Wednesday to face a charge of robbery with a firearm, booking records show.
Officers responded to an armed robbery reported around 3:10 p.m. Tuesday at the VyStar Credit Union along Dunlawton Avenue, the Port Orange Police Department said in a news release. Police did not initially state what weapon may have been used or how much money the suspect took.
According to the release, the robber ran away after the heist. Police as of Tuesday evening were asking for help from anyone who could identify the suspect, urging those with information about the case to contact detectives.

Come early Thursday, the police department had issued a statement announcing Hall’s arrest in the robbery.
Hall was identified as a suspect by detectives with the police department’s Criminal Investigation Division, who on Wednesday executed a search warrant at Hall’s residence with help from the Southeast Regional SWAT Team and uncovered what was described as critical evidence from the robbery, the statement reads. Hall was then taken into custody without further incident, according to the statement.
Hall was booked early Thursday at the Volusia County Branch Jail, held on no bond, records show. He was further denied bond at his first appearance in court later Thursday.
