DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – With over 100 gas pumps, it only makes sense that a Buc-ee’s should have a sizable car wash.
News 6 took a spin in the new car wash at the Daytona Beach location. According to the Daytona Beach News-Journal, the car wash — just off LPGA Boulevard and bordering Interstate 95 — opened with quiet fanfare on Wednesday.
The tunnel runs 235 feet long, which is just 20 feet shorter than the car wash at the Buc-ee’s in Katy, Texas, which holds the Guinness World Record for the longest car wash.

Customers can choose between two packages for their vehicles: The Basic wash will run $13 and the Works wash will set you back $16. Following the car wash, customers also have free access to vacuums and air at newly built pump stations.
News 6′s Molly Reed drove through the Buc-ee’s car wash on a Friday afternoon. Between the carline wait and then the actual wash, the experience took her about 15 minutes, enough time to put a dent in a bag of Beaver Nuggets.
The convenience store is known for its numerous fueling positions, cheaper gas, clean restrooms, and a variety of merchandise and snacks, including the signature sweet corn-puffed Beaver Nuggets.
Florida is home to two Buc-ee’s convenience stores, and the Daytona Beach location is the first one to have a car wash.
Buc-ee’s, the brainchild of Arch Aplin III, first opened in Texas in 1982, expanding throughout the state before expanding across the South, including in Florida in recent years. The third Florida Buc-ee’s is being built north of Ocala while a fourth one is reportedly being built near Fort Pierce.
