There were three subjects in the vehicle, two of whom were immediately apprehended while the third — referred to as “the suspect” in an earlier post — was located after a 30-minute search, the post states.

There was a large law enforcement presence that afternoon in the Lynbrook Drive area of Palm Coast as a result of the suspect search, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies asked residents in the L-Section to stay inside their homes during the search.

Matanzas High School and Palm Coast Christian Academy were also briefly placed in a hold status while deputies searched for the suspect, a sheriff’s office spokesperson said in an email. School buses that were enroute at the time were notified to avoid the area.

The sheriff’s office said it received assistance from the Florida Highway Patrol, the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office and Flagler County Fire Rescue’s FireFlight helicopter, according to the post.

An investigation is ongoing at this time, the sheriff’s office said.
