Upon arrival, deputies discovered that the man — identified as Londarel Harris, 54 — had been spotted opening up a pack of shrimp and trying to throw away the package, the report states.
“An employee went and verified the discarded package was a Publix product,” the report reads. “They continued watching (Harris), who was traveling in a motorized chair.”

Harris was eventually stopped after trying to pass by the checkout lanes, and he was turned back into the store, according to investigators.
The manager also discovered several sushi containers and a Snicker bar that Harris had eaten while riding around, deputies added. In total, the items amounted to over $45.
“(Harris) is observed on camera placing these items in (his) bag, under two prescriptions that were purchased at the pharmacy,” deputies wrote.
As a result, Harris was taken into custody and faces a charge of second-degree petit theft. He was held on bond of $7,500.
