FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – A 36-year-old man who Flagler County sheriff’s described as armed and dangerous has been taken into custody, according to officials.
The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office on Friday posted on social media that Levon Coakley was arrested on charges of fleeing and eluding, resisting arrest without violence and leaving the scene of an accident after he bailed from a vehicle on I-95 near mile marker 293 near Palm Coast.

Before he was apprehended, deputies warned the public that Coakley, who was wearing a black hoodie and dark pants, was armed and dangerous.
“Residents in the F-Section should shelter in place,” the post read.
Flagler sheriff’s officials said Coakley was fleeing from another jurisdiction when he entered Flagler County and tried to run from deputies.
“A member of our Community Policing Division used Stop Sticks to disable the vehicle along Interstate 95. Coakley then bailed into the woods and was later apprehended,” FCSO said on social media.
Coakley was taken to a hospital for medical clearance and will be transferred to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility.
