St. CLOUD, Fla. – A child was among three people who were taken to hospitals after a residential fire Tuesday night in St. Cloud, according to firefighters.

Crews responded just before 10 p.m. to a quadruplex along Christina Lee Lane, where there was a fire in a unit’s garage, the St. Cloud Fire Rescue Department said on social media.

The first firefighters to arrive were able to quickly put out the flames before they could spread, according to the post.

Two adults and one child in the apartment were taken to local hospitals for further care, the fire department said, adding it was coordinating with Osceola County Animal Services to assist with pets in the home.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating, the post states.
