‘Pretty Woman: The Musical’ coming to these Central Florida theatres

Touring Broadway show performing in Melbourne and Daytona Beach April 15-17

MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Maxwell C. King Center for the Performing Arts and Peabody Auditorium are wrapping up the 2024/2025 Broadway season with “Pretty Woman: The Musical.”

The show features Roy Orbison and Bill Dee’s international smash hit song “Oh, Pretty Woman,” which inspired the iconic movie starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, released in 1990.

Many people are familiar with the storyline from the romantic comedy that centers around the growing relationship between Vivian Ward, a free-spirited prostitute, and Edward Lewis, a wealthy businessman. He hires her for a week to be his escort at business and social events.

In 2014, it was announced that the smash-hit film was being adapted into a musical. The show later made its world premiere in Chicago in 2018, before making it to Broadway a few months later.

Now, the Broadway musical is touring in the UK, US, and Germany.

The musical will be at the King Center April 15-16 before heading to Daytona Beach’s Peabody Auditorium on April 17.
