Georgia fugitive arrested after running from traffic stop in Volusia, sheriff’s office says

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – A man allegedly wanted out of several Georgia counties was briefly on the lam in Volusia after running away from a traffic stop and evading capture earlier this week, according to the sheriff’s office.

Cody Ryan Henderson, 39, faced charges out of Georgia including operating a chop shop, forgery, terroristic threats and obstruction, the sheriff’s office said Wednesday on social media.

He was arrested Thursday in Cherokee County, Georgia, the post was updated to state.

Deputies reportedly spotted his truck Tuesday in Daytona Beach, yet when they attempted to conduct a traffic stop, Henderson allegedly ran away and was not immediately located “despite a thorough search of the area,” the original post stated.
