SeaWorld Orlando reveals plans for Mardi Gras celebration

Limited-time festivities happening during Seven Seas Food Festival

SeaWorld Orlando Mardi Gras begins Feb. 8 and runs limited dates through Feb. 18 (SeaWorld)

ORLANDO, Fla. – Ahead of the debut of the Seven Seas Food Festival, SeaWorld Orlando is announcing some of the fun and flavors guests can expect for its limited-time Mardi Gras celebration.

Beginning Feb. 8, guests at the park can expect the sights, sounds and flavors of New Orleans’ which includes a pop-up parade, live music, a street party and an assortment of food and drinks.

Unlike in year’s past, SeaWorld said this year the vibrant flair of Brazil’s Carnaval will be on full display along the Pipeline Pathway. The area will feature bright décor, samba dancers and the Brazilian Market. The fan-favorite marketplace will be serving up dishes including Galinhada, Picanha Steak and Pão de Queijo. Meanwhile, over at the Gulf Coast Market, guests will Beignets, a Mardi Gras favorite.

  • Pop-Up Parade: The Wild Arctic Plaza will come to life as entertainers, bead captains, stilt walkers, and musicians bring the Mardi Gras spirit to SeaWorld during this special pop-up parade. (Select times from 12:30 to 6 p.m.)
  • Live Music: Immerse yourself in the music of New Orleans as our live band brings Cajun and jazz classics to Orlando. (Select times from 12:30 to 6 p.m.)
  • Street Party: The sights and sounds of Bourbon Street will take over Wild Arctic Plaza with a DJ, street performers, and dance party. (Select times from 12:30 to 6 p.m.)
  • Family Craft: The whole family can get in the spirit of Mardi Gras with a create-your-own Mardi Gras Mask craft activity.
  • Gulf Coast Flavors: Enjoy classic Gulf Coast flavors as part of our Seven Seas Food Festival with added menu items such as Banana Fosters Beignets, Shrimp and Andouille Sausage Jambalaya and Frozen NOLA Hurricanes in an exclusive souvenir glass in addition to all the sips and savors throughout the festival. (12:30 p.m. to park close.)

The SeaWorld Orlando Mardi Gras celebration will run select dates through Feb. 18.

The Seven Seas Food Festival begins Feb. 2 and runs through May 19.
