VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – A DeBary man and a 13-year-old Casselberry girl were killed and four others were injured early Friday in a fiery two-vehicle crash in Volusia County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The double fatal wreck was reported at 1:25 a.m. on State Road 472 at County Road 4101 (Kentucky Avenue), south of DeLand.

The FHP said the DeBary man, 44, was driving a 2020 Ford pickup east on S.R. 472 when he failed to slow and struck the back of a 2018 Toyota RAV4 that was traveling in front of him.
The RAV4 overturned, and the pickup left the road, struck a tree and caught fire, becoming fully engulfed in flames, troopers said.
The pickup truck driver and the girl, a passenger in the RAV4, were pronounced dead at the scene, according to an FHP report.
Four others in the RAV4 suffered minor injuries, the FHP said. The girl who died was the only one not wearing a seat belt, the FHP report stated.
S.R. 472 is closed in the area.
Volusia County and DeLand firefighters responded to the crash.
