25-year-old Casselberry man killed in rollover crash on Interstate 4 in Deltona

DELTONA, Fla. – A 25-year-old Casselberry man was killed in a rollover crash that impacted Wednesday morning traffic on Interstate 4 in Deltona, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 5:55 a.m. at mile marker 108 (Dirksen Drive), troopers said.

According to an FHP crash report, the man was driving a pickup truck westbound in the center lane when he lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons and ran off the roadway to the right. The pickup truck overturned on the right grass shoulder and the man was ejected, the report states. Troopers believe he was not wearing a seat belt during the crash.

The truck continued traveling southwest across the I-4 entrance ramp from Dirksen Drive, striking the outside guardrail, troopers said.

The Casselberry man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to FHP.

All westbound lanes of I-4 were shut down in the area, seen to have been reopened by around 8:20 a.m.

FHP is still investigating.
