Man killed in I-95 crash when van hits trees, overturns multiple times

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – A 32-year-old Jacksonville man was killed Thursday night in a crash on Interstate 95 in Volusia County when his van ran off the roadway and overturned multiple times, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened around 10:20 p.m. in the southbound lanes near mile marker 274.

According to a crash report, the man was traveling south in a 2020 GMC Savana when he lost control and overcorrected, veering toward the right shoulder of the interstate.

Troopers said the van ran off the roadway and overturned multiple times, striking several trees.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation is ongoing.
