ORANGE CITY, Fla. – A 48-year-old Deltona man was killed in a head-on crash in Orange City on Monday morning, according to a news release.
Police said they responded to the area of Graves Avenue near the I-4 overpass at 11:26 a.m. in reference to a two-vehicle crash.
According to the release, a Nissan SUV was traveling west on East Graves Avenue, and for an unknown reason, it crossed into the eastbound lane of East Graves Avenue.

As a result, the SUV crashed head-on into a BMW sedan, police said.
According to Orange City police, the driver of the sedan – identified as a 48-year-old Deltona man – was taken to Halifax Health Deltona where he was pronounced dead.
Police said the driver of the SUV was identified as a 17-year-old Deltona resident and was treated at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing, according to police.
