FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – Two teens were killed when the sedan they were taking through Flagler County drifted and struck a concrete bridge railing early Sunday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 4:25 a.m. along County Road 304 as the teens — an 18-year-old Seville man driving and a 17-year-old Pierson boy riding as passenger — traveled westbound, troopers said.
According to an FHP crash report, the sedan drifted across the eastbound lane and onto the left shoulder, where it struck the bridge.
The driver and passenger of the sedan were pronounced dead at the scene, the report states. Troopers believe the driver was the only occupant who was wearing a seat belt during the crash.
