ORLANDO, Fla. – A severe thunderstorm watch has been canceled for Central Florida. It was originally issued on Thursday afternoon for Orange, Seminole, Flagler, Volusia, and Brevard counties and expected to run until 10 p.m.
A watch means that conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms. Any storm Thursday afternoon and early evening could contain damaging wind gusts, large hail and a brief tornado. Frequent lightning and heavy rain will accompany any storm.
Storms were gradually expected to get stronger as they move east toward Interstate 95 Thursday afternoon and early evening.
