Central Florida to see scattered storms before hot weekend

Orlando area to reach highs near 90

ORLANDO, Fla. – An area of low pressure continues to spin over Mississippi and Alabama, pulling more moisture in our direction.

Some of the moisture will interact with the East Coast sea breeze Friday afternoon, firing up some afternoon storms that will move west to east.

The coverage of rain will be at 20-30%

Expect high temperatures Friday to be in the upper 80s in the Orlando area.

We will warm to a high of 90 on Saturday and Sunday.

There’s no chance of rain on Saturday, but rain chances return at 40% on Sunday afternoon.
