Wind chills expected to drop temps across Central Florida. Here’s how low it’ll go

ORLANDO, Fla. – On Tuesday, our low-pressure system with gale-force intensity is still sitting off our coast. It’s generating a sustained band of showers and occasional storms primarily over the Atlantic waters, mostly offshore.

I expect this low to move farther out to the east overnight, but until this shift occurs, the coastal areas will experience breezy-to-windy conditions with strong north-to-north-northeasterly winds persisting into the evening.

A Wind Advisory is in effect until late Tuesday night.

Wind Advisory Feb 6th (WKMG)

While winds are expected to diminish tonight, breezy-to-windy conditions are forecast for Wednesday as the pressure gradient remains tight.

On Tuesday night, inland winds range from 15-20 mph with gusts reaching 25-30 mph, while coastal areas experience winds of 20-30 mph, gusting up to 40-45 mph.

On Wednesday, winds are anticipated to be 15-20 mph across the region, with the coast experiencing the breeziest conditions.
