Temperatures dip into the 40s early next week

ORLANDO, Fla. – The roller coaster ride in the weather department continues. The warmup after last week’s brief chill is well underway in Central Florida.

Central Florida will start St. Patrick’s Day with fog in the morning before making another run for 90 degrees Sunday afternoon under partly cloudy skies.

More clouds and a few passing showers are possible in the evening on Sunday, mainly to the north of Ocala.

A strong cold front will send an even bigger chill to the Sunshine State by early next week. The front itself arrives late Sunday into Monday, bringing with it a 40% chance for showers and thunderstorms. Most of the rain will be held to early Monday morning.

By Tuesday, wake-up temperatures will be in the 40s and low 50s. It will be slightly warmer along the immediate Atlantic coast. Highs Tuesday afternoon will likely be held in the 60s.

Most of Central Florida will wake up in the 40s Wednesday morning.

The cool mornings will continue through Thursday. A good chance for rain arrives in Florida on Friday.
