Intense heat in Central Florida continues into weekend. Here’s when rain returns

Heat indices expected to stay in triple digits through next several days

ORLANDO, Fla. – An area of high pressure is expected to develop near the area, keeping daytime highs above normal in the upper 90s through the next several days.

The humidity is expected to climb through the day Friday. With the increased humidity and the heat, it’s going to feel like 102°-106°.

Isolated showers and storms are possible after 3 p.m. on Friday, with a few downpours possible.

The weekend will stay hot. In fact, we’ll be near-record heat. Forecast highs on Saturday is 98° and Sunday 99° with a 20% for a couple of showers.

Next week, rain chances go up significantly due to a surge of tropical moisture.
