ORLANDO, Fla. – Heading into the work week, Central Florida will be entering into a weather pattern shift.

Rain chances go up on Monday to 50% with highs in the upper 90s. Showers begin after 2 p.m. from Orlando to the south through the evening.

Tropical moisture moves in from the Gulf increasing rain chance to 80% by Tuesday. There will be a round of rain early and then it picks up in the afternoon turning more widespread.

Convective outlook for now remains in the general thunderstorm category, but excessive rainfall is expected Wednesday into Thursday that could lead to localized flooding.

High rain chances stick around all week. High temperatures will stay in the mid-to-upper 80s as a result of the clouds and rain.
